I was a taxicab owner in Anchorage, Alaska in the 1970’s when the Alaska pipeline was built. It was the “Best Job” I ever had. To say that driving a cab was surprising, fun, interesting, rewarding and growth filled would be a completely inadequate description. I never took a single fare that turned out as I anticipated – Never, not once.
